THE ART OF TANTRA-Continued from FUN/Part 11 and also in Part4/Starting a New life.
All week we have been speaking about ‘connecting to spirit’ and also finding your ‘free spirit.’ And throughout the rest of this week you will see how all of this will come together in a beautiful way!
There is an extreme interrelatedness of ‘Spirituality and Sexuality,’and I decided to follow up with this subject.
I had been doing my own research on the energies of the body, because I became fascinated while having many of the Reiki practitioners work in my holistic business.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation and healing. Through hands on healing or distant healing. (Another RELAXATION METHOD I will share in future posts.)
Some of the massage therapists had used these modalities with their treatments, and also taught me a few ways to incorporate Reiki at the end of my scalp massage and also in facial treatment services.
Reiki, in fact, is often translated as “universal life energy” which is recognized in various cultures and traditions as Chi, Prana, Shakti, etc. but it can be become complex to get into, and that is something we can speak of at another time.
Kundalini energy lies dormant at the base of the spine (1st chakra.) This represents the feminine aspect of the divine, or shakti.Through spiritual practice and Kundalini Yoga the dormant Kundalini energy is invited to flow up from the base of the spine, along the chakras, up to the crown chakra, where the feminine aspect is united with Shiva, the masculine aspect of the divine. It is a warm loving energy with a lot of passion.

Sexual energy is creative energy. Nothing exists without sexual energy. Like the wind and weather, sexual energy is the most natural and powerful force of creation. If you you block your natural sexuality and desire, you cut yourself off from the source of creativity, joy and health.
The body is only layers of invisible energy in form, and it can be awakened if we let go to the sexual energy.
And Tantra treats sexual energy as a loving friend. It is the only spiritual path that says sex is sacred and divine, not a sin, whether in marriage or not. Tantrikas are God-loving rather than God-fearing.
Beautiful example of one of the TANTRA TECHNIQUES-
Yab-yum is the classic position for Tantric sex. The man sits cross-legged and the woman sits on his upper thighs, crossing her ankles behind his back. Because this upright sitting posture promotes alert awareness, aligns the partners’ chakras, and allows them to breathe each others breath and either touch their brow chakras together or gaze into each others eyes.
Tantrikas do “drop their mind” when engaging in Tantric lovemaking. When the energy comes from a space deep within you-your essential self -it connects you to God/Goddess.
All that is…moving you into the realm of spirit.‘
