Oh, I hope you’ll excuse me….I’ve been away in my own creation of a fairy tale story!

But I’m back hoping to take you with me- on a fun journey of reminders to why fairy tales can come true~ But that’s only if you too-believe in fairy tales?

Or at least, if I can inspire you to believe in yourself enough to never give up on your dreams, after you get to hear some inspirational stories of famous individuals who took their failures to successes-just like some of our fairy tale stories!

Well, I’m surely not famous yet, but I am an author of 3 upcoming series of books (‘Where do I belong?’-'Dying to be beautiful’ – ‘Dying to succeed’)

…..which is a ‘Cinderella fairy tale story’ of my life of memoirs….And it’s been in progress for a while- because my intention was to be living it -as I am writing it!

So, as I continue with future post here, I will be sharing some of the trials & tribulations that I feel have actually become exciting happenings on my path of life-because I’ve chosen to look at them in a different light. I see they were there as great opportunities -for me to make the positive changes from within- to be able to feel more inner peace & joy in living every day ~

I’m hoping that all I do here can help keep you inspired to look at your own life by- seeing with new eyes.

I say all this not only because I believe…

For today, since I did mention this- in past posts, I will be leaving these amazing failure to success stories that I think you will really enjoy….Hey it may even have you realizing why it’s worth it to ‘believe in fairy tales!’

 Inspirational stories ~

Walt Disney: The man who gave us Disney World and Mickey Mouse. His first animation company went bankrupt. He was fired by a news editor cause he lacked imagination. Legend has it he was turned down 302 times before he got financing for creating Disney World.

Colonel Sanders : The founder of KFC. He started his dream at 65 years old! He got a social security check for only $105 and was mad. Instead of complaining he did something about it.

He thought restaurant owners would love his fried chicken recipe, use it, sales would increase, and he’d get a percentage of it. He drove around the country knocking on doors, sleeping in his car, wearing his white suit.

Do you know how many times people said NO till he got one yes? 1109 times!

Michael Jordan: He’s famous for being cut from his high school basketball team. He turned out to be the greatest basketball player but never let failure deter him. I love this quote…

“I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

Vincent Van Gogh: He only sold one painting in his lifetime!  Just one to a friend. Despite that he kept painting and finished over 800 pieces. Now everyone wants to buy them and his most expensive painting is valued at $142.7 million.

 Stephen King: His first book Carrie was rejected 30 times and he threw it in the trash. His wife retrieved it out of the trash and encouraged him to resubmit it. The rest is history. He has sold more than 350 million copies of his books. (He’s also made many adults fear clowns too.)

Steven Spielberg: He applied and was denied two times to the prestigious University of Southern California film school. Instead he went to Cal State University in Long Beach.

He went on to direct some of the biggest movie blockbusters in history. Now he’s worth $2.7 billion and in 1994 got an honorary degree from the film school that rejected him twice.

The Beatles: They were rejected by many record labels. In a famous rejection, the label said, “”guitar groups are on the way out” and “the Beatles have no future in show business”.

After that the Beatles signed with EMI, brought Beatlemania to the United States, and became the greatest band in history.

Soichiro Honda - was turned down by Toyota Motor Corporation during a job interview as “engineer” after World War Two. He continued to be jobless until his neighbors starting buying his “home-made scooters”. Subsequently, he set out on his own to start his own company. Honda. Today, the Company has grown to become the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer and one of the most profitable automakers – beating giant automaker such as GM and Chrysler. With a global network of 437 subsidiaries, Honda develops, manufactures, and markets a wide variety of products ranging from small general-purpose engines and scooters to specialty sports cars.

Thomas Edison: No list of success from failures would be complete without the man who gave us many inventions including the light bulb. He knew failure wouldn’t stop him.

Isaac Newton-was the greatest English mathematician of his generation. His work on optics and gravitation made him one of the greatest scientists the world has even known. Many thought that Isaac was born a genius, but he wasn’t! When he was young, he did very poorly in grade school, so poor that his teachers became clueless in improving his grades.

Abraham Lincoln- he received no more than 5 years of formal education throughout his lifetime. When he grew up, he joined politics and had 12 major failures before he was elected the 16th President of the United States of America.

Winston Churchill -failed the 6th grade. However, that never stopped him to work harder! He strived and eventually became the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during the Second World War. Churchill is generally regarded as one of the most important leaders in Britain and world history. In a poll conducted by the BBC in 2002 to identify the “100 Greatest Britons”, participants voted Churchill as the most important of all.

Marilyn Monroe-(In 1947, one year into her contract) was dropped by 20th Century-Fox because her producer thought she was unattractive and cannot act. That didn’t deter her at all! She kept on going and eventually she was recognized by the public as the 20th century’s most famous movie star, sex symbol and pop icon.

John Grisham’s -first novel was rejected by sixteen agents and twelve publishing houses. He went on writing and writing until he became best known as a novelist and author for his works of modern legal drama. The media has coined him as one of the best novel authors even alive in the 21st century.

If you have it- please do read it again and you’ll know why I suggest this. For now I will say that if we look deeper into our own failures we will get closer to our successes-and if we were able to discover the reason when and why well known successful teachers failed and again succeeded (sometimes over & over & over again) – we would find that the law of attraction was always working. Good or bad!

If you’re still facing some roadblocks (we all do-it’s human & it’s all ok) you may be ready for this one-
‘Outwitting the Devil’

Please don’t get turned off by the title- keep an open mind and know that it is possible to be happy and also successful again!

This is not a ‘crisis’ going on in the world…It is a transformation for all humanity!

Just an added suggestion before you read the second one- We need not only courage, ambition and tenacity to be happy and successful…We need to learn more about the ‘philosophy of achievement’—The cause of both failure and success, but also the spiritual meaning to it all.

So with that being said…I just might be back here soon, giving you a little personal view of how these books have been creating success in my own life.  But that’s only if my ‘other self’ (as Napoleon Hills calls) feels it can be beneficial to share these failures and successes- for me, for you.

Last little tip, from me and Steve Nobel too *wink*….

There is a saying in shamanism: “if you do not live your own dream then you will live out someone else’s dream”. What this means is that we are always dreaming our lives into being. If you do not put energy into the dream of your own life then you will get caught up in the orbit of your family’s dream, your lover’s dream, your boss’s dream, or some organization’s dream.

Therefore it is important to put energy into the dream you want to birth into being in the world. When the moon is growing from dark to full, it is time to contemplate the things you would love to birth into your reality. When the moon is waning from full to dark it is a time to contemplate what you need to release to realize the life you love. If you do this then you will be in tune with the natural cycles of the Universe.

I thought you might like to see this picture here today–of my past ‘successful’ business- that was in Eatontown N.J.. Why? Because it brings me peace & makes me feel happy! It was my second ‘baby’…I mean in business. And it still makes my heart go piter-pater as I relate to the meaning behind the creation of it all.

You’ll see, everything I do, I do for me, for you…Yup?

It was one of many ‘Ideas For New Business‘…..That I felt deep in my heart-others might want to follow–with creating their own ‘quaint, personal & most pampering’ space  where they too could offer the world a little bit of heaven -all under one roof. And that is exactly what it did.

Yes, and the Aveda company sure was on the same path with me-If you’re not familiar with the company–please do check it out and you’ll see why I felt the need to get my certification for Aromatherapy–Which were the main ingredients I used- to come up with- for many our retail products-Wonderful combinations of pure essential oils! They were also used along with many of our services & their magical scents infused the air of each room, the benefits were endless, and these holistic modalities were all part of the pathways that added to the balancing of mind & body & natures avenues to better health & well-being.

Aveda’s mission -was my intentions from the very beginning of when drawing these plans on paper a few years into owning my first salon in Florida. I just knew there was a much bigger meaning behind my creating of the first one–and my spirit never let me rest. But I mean- in a good way–I found that the better we listen to our bodies- the better we know how to it listen to our ‘inner voice.’ It’s always guiding us on how to keep moving forward– as we are growing from within (emotionally and spiritually) but in this case-even professionally–Some might ask, but why did you feel you had to move on from your first beauty salon business that was obviously doing well for almost 5 years?

Again I will say, there was a much bigger purpose in my life-which had much more meaning behind this dream, and I knew it was meant for me to design something just like this…It was ‘who I was’ at that particular time of my life. But I also felt my personal life was so much of the reason these ideas came to me (and in my upcoming series of memoirs) all of this will be told, and I’m sure you will be drawn to the story -and you will know why I repeatedly kept asking this question over & over again–”Where Do I Belong?” Yes that is the title of one.

I also knew that this haven was not only for me to bring my clients to- as a Hairstylist of many years–But also to give a home to other like-minded beautiful creatives of beauty & wellness. It was also designed so that other ‘holistic practitioners’ would surely succeed along with me….

This is only half of the many avenues that were taken to make this happen successfully for 9 years (I will also add a few more–so you can have some wonderful ‘Ideas for new businesses’)

Well actually the first step is having the courage to know that you can believe in your dreams–and I believe I’ve showed you here. You ‘can’ make them a reality….You have to ‘believe’ it before you see it, right?

We should always be grateful for our past successes….It always feels good to look back on our accomplishments, especially when we might be challenged to keep moving forward in the right direction to the next one. But it’s also just as beneficial to be grateful for our failures. They help us to see our mistakes–what we need to learn. All our famous successful individuals know this well.

When you are following your heart and listening to you ‘inner voice‘ you most certainly will be in a healthy and happy state of mind. You know, as Abraham Hicks speaks of so often…Being in a ‘good vibration’ will always lead you to your dreams. But sometimes we forget how important it is to stop and just ‘be.’ What that means is -we might find ourselves always ‘doing’ so much to get to our goals–and might not be getting any further along in the process. That’s when we can find ourselves wondering ‘why?’

So don’t forget to learn on how to ‘be’– how to meditate -or we can find ourselves taking action when we’re not really ready to.

Make sure to take ‘quiet time’ for ourselves….So we can go more with the flow of life – as we learn to listen to our own ‘inner voice.’  And as always, stand by your own beliefs – no matter what other people say about you and your dreams (I used to call them my dream stoppers   You know, like what Steve Jobs says here…

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.  Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.  Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice, heart and intuition.  They somehow already know what you truly want to become.  Everything else is secondary.”

But I know now, that many of those people did have good intentions but I also know now, that we must not let other people’s opinions and/or advise ‘distract’ us from what we know is ‘only’ our dream. No two people have exactly the same dreams or goals~ we’re so completely different & unique!

But I’m also such a big believer of the law of attraction….Because this business (and also every one I created in the past) was influences by the energy of these teachings- in a ‘perfect picture form’ (I say that literally-which I do write about in my inspirational memoirs to my book) It is clearly the ‘Law of Attraction‘ in action!

I promise you, it is always working in our lives even when we’re not aware of it. And I surely wasn’t aware of any of this about 6 years ago, But I do know now that’s ‘how’ I was able to reach my past professional successes. If I knew back then, what I know now, I think I would have been having so much more fun in the process. You know, like when we say, enjoy the ride- while getting to your destination.

Ever since ending this business, by choosing once again to listen to my ‘inner voice‘- I found, I just needed to ‘wake-up’ to some enlightened ideas- that would then lead me to my next ‘enlightened success‘ -which is on its way-but in a different form, that will mirror much more of ‘who I am’ today.

So, I will end this today with some great quotes from Abraham….

“It’s not your work to make anything happen. It’s your work to dream it and let it happen. Law of Attraction will make it happen. In your joy, you create something, and then you maintain your vibrational harmony with it, and the Universe must find a way to bring it about. That’s the promise of Law of Attraction.
